The most memorable part of the course begins just after mile 2. This seven-story parking ramp isn't just another section of the 10K—it's a challenge within the challenge.

As you enter the ramp, a separate clock begins tracking your pace. If your pace on the climb to the top is faster than your overall 10K race pace, you'll earn Race the Ramp status. More details below.

The best unknown block in downtown falls around mile 4 of the 10K course. Run under the lights, let the DJ carry you through the heart of a 10 story building.

Mile 4.5 rises and hits hard when your on top. For a moment, you’ll be level with the setting sun on the horizon and above our city.

The 5K doesn’t run up the parking ramp, but you’ll still get a taste of its unique energy as the course dips below ground level before emerging on the other side.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS

The Night Mile consists of 2 and 3/4 loops through the MRKT District comprising a total distance of one mile.

Runners have selected heats based on their predicted finish time submitted during registration. This means you'll be racing alongside athletes of similar pace, whether you're chasing a PR or just soaking up the atmosphere.

The first heat will begin at 8:15 PM, with additional heats following throughout the evening.

It is VERY important that as you warm up, you do so away from the night mile start and finish line. Runner timing chips will be active, and this is the best way to ensure clean finisher data.

Once your heat has finished, consider staying to watch our championship heats with runners going all out in pursuit of cold hard cash, and the first-ever night mile crown.
